HSTY completes 200-hour Teacher Training Course at Shirdi, India

HSTY TTC Completion

HSTY completed its first 200-hour Teacher Training Course in February, 2019 at the sacred location of Shirdi (India), the abode of the great master, Sai Baba. Under the able guidance of senior teachers, Usha Lakshminarayan and Devi Mohan, the the students underwent intense training in various aspects of traditional yoga, including asana practice, pranayamas, yoga theory, yoga philosophy and history, teaching methodology and ethics, as well as basics of anatomy and physiology. Being the final level of the teacher training course, students were formally assessed on their understanding of theory and techniques, practical demonstration and instructions. The faculty team of Devi Mohan, Usha Lakshminarayan, Umesh Unni and Dr Gajanan Dhanipkar shared their knowledge and practical experience to make the course a fulfilling immersion into the world of traditional yoga.

Besides the yoga training, different seva activities of yoga training and annadaan (food donation) were conducted at schools for underprivileged children in Shirdi – as our seva to the society. The group was blessed to receive completion certificates from Shri Sulakhe Maharaj, chief priest of Shirdi Sai Sansthan.

This course marks the completion of 200-hours of training, as in consonance with Yoga Alliance standards. HSTY now has a batch of teachers eligible for Yoga Alliance RYT-200 certification and ready to spread the knowledge of traditional yoga to the world, keeping in tune with the guidance of the inspiration behind HSTY, Brahmarishi Mohanji.
