20 hours Online Yoga Course

This course will give you knowledge of traditional yoga – as practised in the ancient times, while staying relevant to our current times. It will also bring awareness, mindfulness and peace to your life. It will also focus on understanding the discipline – going inwards and connecting with our inner selves.

Over the course of 4 weekends you’ll cover the basics of yoga that will give you a strong foundation so that you can feel confident doing yoga on your own. This is the place to start and is perfect for complete beginners or people who have only practiced yoga occasionally. It is also a great way to return to your yoga practice if you have taken a break or if you just want to refresh the basics.

Many look at yoga as just physical or breathing exercises; however, the traditional perspective emphasises the aspect of awareness – of our body, breath, mind and soul. The right approach to yoga helps you build immunity, good health, peace and contentment.

Guided by Usha Lakshminarayan, Head of Yoga Studies at HSTY, the course would include practical sessions of light yoga, asanas, pranayamas and relaxation techniques.
